Tartar Sauce

Ingredients

  • Plain Yogurt (regular or Greek)½ cup
  • Sweet Pickles, minced3 tbsp
  • Onion, minced1 tbsp
  • Capers, minced1 tbsp
  • Lemon Juice2 tsp
  • White Vinegar1 tsp
  • Dijon Mustard1 tsp
  • Salt½ tsp
  • Dill¼ tsp

Method

  1. Mix. Combine all ingredients in a bowl and stir until well combined.
  2. Taste and adjust. Add more lemon juice or salt to taste.
  3. Chill. Refrigerate for at least 15 minutes before serving — the flavour improves as it sits. Keeps for up to 5 days in an airtight container.
💡 Using yogurt instead of mayo makes this lighter than traditional tartar sauce without losing the creamy texture. Fresh dill is stronger than dried — use sparingly if substituting.
